Adobe Photoshop CS6 Tutorial: Create Amazing Underwater Scene From Lorelei Legend – Photo Manipulation

In this tutorial we are dealing with mystical woman from the legend of Lorelei. This mystical, beautiful woman swims under the water, below the ship, what’s on the surface. Legend’s origin is from Germany, Loreley is rock on the German river Rhine, and also name of Mermaid, who is in tutorial. The legend says that, beautiful Loreley was accused of bewitching men and causing their death. Instead of capital punishment, Loreley was brought to nunnery. On the way to nunnery, she was accomplished by three knights, and they were passing by the Loreley rock, when they were near therock, she asked them to climb the rock to see Rhine last time. She does so and falls to her death; the rock still retained an echo of her name afterwards.

Let it snow: Snowflake Brushes

Winter is here, and although snow melted away here where I live, that doesn’t mean that we won’t see it anymore. In fact, it seems that we’ll see more snow than we think soon enough, but enough about the weather, let’s talk about some Photoshop brushes. As you can see, today’s main topic is snow, so I’ve decided to share some snowflake brushes that I found a few days ago, so let’s check them out.

After the 130+ Snowflake Vectors, I thought that it would be a good idea to share some snowflake brushes with you. I like vectors, but I prefer using brushes because they are easier to use and to configure so this is the main reason why I decided to search for snowflake brushes. Anyhow I managed to find this great set of 20 big snowflakes, so I hope that you’ll like them as much as I did. They are stunning, and I’m positive that you’ll use them in your winter designs. They are created in Photoshop 7, so they can work with all other newer version without any problems.

25 Watercolor Texture Brushes for graphical designers

After some great vectors that Santa Claus brought earlier to graphic designers, I have some nice brushes and textures for you today. You are probably felling cold from all those snowflake vectors from yesterday, but luckily, today I have something warmer that you can use in your graphical designs. After snowflakes, I have 25 brushes watercolor brushes for Photoshop so make sure that you check them out.

This set includes 25 watercolor texture brushes, and all brushes in this set are from 1200px to 2500px in width, so you can use them in larger projects as well. Besides that, this set includes additional 25 PNG files that are larger than these brushes, and you can use as decorative elements in your creations. Although they are the exact same, those PNGs might be useful to some folks out there.

As for the limitations of use, you’re not allowed to distribute these brushes or sell them, but you’re fully free to use them in commercial or personal projects as long as you follow the author’s usage terms. Fully Editable Simple Dark Navigation Menu

OK, today we have something bit different. This is not a standard Photoshop resource, but it will definitely come in handy to web designers and coders. Today we have web design resource that you can use on your webpages, so make sure that you check it out.

As you know, simple and plain menus are not that interesting, if they aren’t amazingly designed, so why should you be stuck with a plain old static menu? Drop down menus are great, they are attractive, they are dynamic and best of all, they are free, well in this case at least. You can design your own menu, and that’s not that hard, but there’s no need to design a beautiful dropdown menu when you can download it for free. That’s right, today we have a sweet Simple Dark Navigation Menu that you can use in your designs, and best of all is the fact that this menu is fully editable. This menu comes in PSD file and you can edit it in any way you like, as long as you follow the author’s rules.

As for this menu, it’s simple and it looks great, and since it fully editable it will be great web design resource for all web designers that know how to code a drop down menu.
